Hands in your (wetsuit) pockets!

Wet, windy and cold with this year’s best surf all week along the Great Ocean Road! In a way, it wasn’t such a bad thing the real estate market was quiet in Lorne. Half our staff went missing at the local surf breaks!

Proactive Selling

The listings mount up and some quality property amongst the sample to be marketed in Spring.

The fifth transaction in excess of $1,000,000 in Sep/Wye River since January 2010, occurred this week. One of three “off market” negotiations that took place this week!

The other two to be contracted in the next 48 hours but have acceptable terms to both parties.

No Smoke Screens!

A quiet week out of the Lorne Branch. No sales contracted this week!

 I thought we would have been smashed with inquiry after my inspiring words last week. I will blame it on the traditional coastal real estate excuse – the weather. Probably a genuine reason of inactivity this week.

 Plenty of great listings coming up as we have been extremely busy on the appraisal / listing presentation front.

Our Backyard

Plenty of whales on show at the moment along the stretch of coastline between Lorne and Apollo Bay. Apparently Humpback and Southern Right whales are the most common species nursing in our protected bays this time of year. Simply stunning to observe!

On the Real Estate front, we continue to appraise numerous properties of which many are being listed for sale but won’t be marketed until September school holidays.

They can be inspected and indeed contracted for those buyers actively looking to secure a house prior to the usual Spring / Summer madness.

Also, we will be conducting an auction on Saturday 4th September at 12:00pm at 5B Richardson Boulevard, Lorne. The quoted range of $490,000 to $520,000 should attract all looking at an entry point property.
