LORNE – HERE AND THERE

No local football or netball this weekend as the elite represent the Dolphins at various interleague commitments. But a great weekend to be in town with the Great Ocean Road Running Festival taking place. From running events and yoga sessions, to a kite festival or a movie as well as live music, be sure to make the most of this action packed weekend in Lorne. For those that are part time residents, fire restrictions have now been removed and on Wednesdays and Saturdays you’re able to “rake and burn” to clear the pathways for the winter rain!

LORNE – MARKET ROUND UP

The local market has continued to defy the time of the year as property enquiry continues to be steady across most market segments. Whether it be vacant lots in Wye or Kennett River, Lorne or country properties, online enquiries continues to be strong for the limited amount of stock on offer. A couple of really good results during the past week with an unconditional contract now in place on 3/26 Hopetoun Terrace at just under the asking price of $1.345 million. The diversity of our market was further reinforced with the sale of a vacant block of land at 1 Dunoon Road, Wye River.

While stock levels remain at their tightest for a number of years all of a sudden the occasional “off market” transaction will occur. And there is a real chance that this will happen again over the coming week with the offering of an upstairs rear 3 bedroom apartment in the Kalimna Development – one of Lorne’s most popular residential apartment buildings. To find out more about this “off market” opportunity please do not hesitate to contact one of our team.
