LORNE – HERE AND THERE

After what has effectively been an extended holiday period, with those who were able to negotiate three holiday leave days between Easter and this weekend benefiting from a ten-day break. And based on the number on the coast there were many who had done just that. Thursdays Anzac Day services in Lorne saw attendances like never before. A dawn service of approximately 450 gathered at Lorne’s newly refurbished Anzac Park to pay their respects. It was a lovely service and the Lorne R.S.L.  are to be congratulated on the elegant, tasteful and simplistic redevelopment that is such a great addition to the Lorne Foreshore.

LORNE – MARKET ROUND UP

Easter Bunny has been pretty active in the delivery of chocolate but not so in the delivery or real estate transactions in Lorne. Whilst other parts of the coast have been quite active, our Apollo Bay team have negotiated six deals month to date, demand for Lorne has not corresponded  with the extreme volumes of people in town. Through the extended holiday period, we completed the sale of 17 Moorhouse Street in under a week. With a “realistic asking price” and the four-person team environment under which we operate, we were able to complete multiple inspections and two committed buyers that enabled us to sell the residence at the full asking price!

Outside of this result, we have a couple of other negotiations that hopefully will deliver a couple of very big results for Lorne – fingers crossed!
