Our Backyard

The countdown is well and truly underway towards Christmas Day and Lorne has already started to reveal the buzz that helps complete the count down to the big day. Whether it be the shop fronts that are undergoing last minute “freshen ups”, the constant line up of delivery trucks ensuring shelves are well stocked or the tradies that are put under the pump by the demands of “hand over” jobs prior to the festive season knock off, there is no debating the “rush” is well and truly on!

Our town is looking good for all of our summer visitors and this year is shaping to be one of the best yet. For those food lovers you already have MoVida, Ipsos, Mestizo and the Pier, but this year the Lorne Hotel are hosting a selection of ‘pop ups’ at the View. To enjoy a selection of Melbourne’s favourites including Coda and Geoff Lindsay’s Crab Club, make sure you jump onto their Facebook page to keep up to date with all that’s on offer.

Winding back the clock 12 months we experienced one of the most productive Christmas periods of recent times and then we entered January to experience one of our most dismal. What will this year bring you may ask? On the back of what has been a steady “lead in” to Christmas, a strengthening Melbourne property market, historic low interest rates and low stock levels its been a number of years since these key indicators have looked so good.

The week just gone has seen the contracting of a rear lower level Kalimna Apartment for just over $900,000, two big sales on the Deans Marsh Road and a handful of other negotiations underway. So, all in all our market is trending well and whether you are a buyer or a seller 2020 is fast looming as a great time to be speaking with us.
