AFL Grand Final weekend is upon us and who would have ever thought when COVID lock downs first hit, that a football season could possibly be completed. Saturday evening signals the final to one of the most tumultuous seasons in the league’s history! The Geelong Cats take on the Richmond Tigers in what will be one of the most valued premierships in the league’s history. With players living in hubs away from home months on end, multiple games each week and two Victorian teams playing in Queensland for the first time. As Brisbane’s Gabba hosts the first ever Grand Final outside of Victoria, but a piece of the hallowed “G” turf has been embedded into the Gabba surface to ensure that link is not lost.
It will also be the first time that the big game has been played as a night match and like never before you can only watch it with a limited number at your home. With all of what has transpired, it will be a great event and there is only one thing for certain – it will be a Victorian team that holds the Premiership Cup aloft!

Another busy week on the real estate front for Lorne as COVID continues to bring about change and innovation in the way we do business. When the Melbourne market can’t come to Lorne, we take the Lorne market to Melbourne. Online virtual open for inspections are growing in popularity as city buyers don’t want to miss out on the opportunities that the Regional Victorian counterparts are jumping on. To have your agent “walk and talk” you through a home is now a real option for those that aren’t prepared to wait to coming out of lockdown to make their purchase.

With a handful of new properties being offered as “off market” opportunities be sure to be speaking with one of your chosen agents to be given the chance to make your purchase. The last seven days has seen two transactions in Lorne contracted, with another under negotiation. It is a great time to be in the market and there’s plenty of ways to make your purchase – even if you can’t get down here!
