Lorne – Market Round Up

This week I’m pleased to report of three sales in Lorne, all three transactions were under negotiation for extended periods of time, and we’re very happy to report them to you;

There are currently a couple of negotiations taking place that we are working hard at bringing to fruition.

The strength of the Aireys inlet market continues with another sale recorded at our Aireys branch this week, in addition to that sale my colleague James Worssam has another property under negotiation with two buyers indicating they will pay over the asking price and another buyer coming into the fray who has also indicated that they wish to participate in a “multiple interest process” which will close at the end of the weekend.

On occasion when we do have a multiple interest scenario, when more than one buyer has indicated intent to purchase the property, we take instruction from the vendor. Usually the instruction is to offer the property to all parties to ensure all parties have the opportunity to purchase the property and maximize the result for the vendor. As a buyer it may be frustrating but most times people are usually happy in a transparent manner to which it is handled.

Winter in Lorne brings a lot of natural beauty, if you are in town this weekend, head up and enjoy the many waterfalls that surround our beautiful town, there will be plenty of water flowing – a truly beautiful sight!

Path to swing bridge upgraded -Pedestrian access to the Lorne swing bridge from the north will improve with the construction of a new footpath.  The pedestrian link, which will connect Deans Marsh – Lorne Road and the Great Ocean Road will start opposite the existing path at Minapre Street.

Keep your eyes peeled for whales; there was a sighting at Cathedral Rock this morning!

The Lorne Dolphins welcome South Colac tomorrow at Stribling Reserve.
