Our Backyard

It can’t go without saying that the Lorne Football and Netball Club has been kicking goals on and off the field. The club has six netball teams, four football teams and a core group of volunteers that are the heart and soul of what this proud club continues to deliver. One of the real success stories over recent years has been the continuing growth and attendance at Thursday evening club meals where on a regular basis in excess of 100 meals are served to a large cross section of club and community members alike. If you’re in town during the week, head up to the multi-purpose room at the Stribling Reserve where you will be made most welcome.

And on the field the Lorne football senior team have performed strongly over recent weeks to surge to second position on the C.D.F.N.L. senior ladder and this weekend they take on top side Birregurra in a match that will decide who is the early favourite for the 2018 premiership flag – Go Dolphins!

The month of June is unfolding in an interesting fashion as buyer interest continues to keep our sales team on their toes. With private schools beginning school holidays next week and the public schools the week following, the local market is well poised to continue to deliver solid results. Property enquires and inspections have remained frequent even at the most least expected time in our seasonal market cycle.

The most significant characteristics of this changing market pattern has been the shortage of stock. With less than twenty houses on the market our current stock levels continue to be at ten-year lows. Over recent winter months we have promoted “holding back” and “resting” stock when our market was over supplied, but that has well and truly changed to a point where the market has shaped in favour of the seller. Feel free to speak to one of our sales team to get an update on the market and financial year appraisal for your property.
