Our Backyard

LORNE – HERE AND THERE

The diversity and offering of our coast is so different from town to town along the entire Great Ocean Road corridor and constantly we will experience multiple sales in one of our four office locations, while other locations can be quiet. The past seven days is a great example of that, where our Apollo Bay office completed three contracted deals in the price ranges of $536,000 to $840,000, while our other three offices were somewhat quieter. But the overriding fact is that whether it be Anglesea, Aireys Inlet, Apollo Bay or Lorne the coastal markets are all in a far better space than where they were ten years ago and the signs look good for this to continue – fingers crossed!

LORNE – MARKET ROUND UP

A solid winter week for our Lorne office with two contracted transactions of different proportions. The signing of the eleventh Oceania residence was the highlight of the week followed by the sale of the charming two bedroom cottage in Forrest, which continues to reinforce the diversity of our markets.

And for those that are on the lookout for what can be best described as the ideal Lorne holiday residence, its hard to look past 17 – 19 Wallace Street which hit the market over the past week for the first time. With motivated vendors, this five bedroom, dual living home features expansive north facing ocean viewing decks on a large allotment beneath Lorne’s magnificent tree canopy. To find out more, give one of our team members a call as we are confident that this residence is bound to appeal. Details here.

LORNE – A LITTLE SECRET

Not really a secret but the whale season is now well and truly underway and with sightings almost on a daily basis the “whale in town” flag displayed at the Lorne Tourist Information Centre whenever a whale is in close proximity has become almost a permanent fixture.
