LORNE – HERE AND THERE

Get set for a huge weekend in Lorne coming up as Festival of Performing Arts Gala event gets underway tonight highlighting shows across the festival in one extravaganza of music, cabaret and comedy providing a unique tasting plate of the weekend entertainment that lies ahead. There is a ticket office set up at Lorne central for all those “late comers” that don’t want to miss out.

Then on Saturday a change of tempo as the Football and Netball Club senior side take on the powerful Birregurra team in the second semi final to book the first spot in the CDFL 2018 Grand Final.

The festival continues through Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon while our reserve grade under 17’s and under 14’s football teams all play in a cut throat first semi final also at Colac Central Reserve.

LORNE – MARKET ROUND UP

A solid week for real estate transactions in Lorne to round out the last week of winter. With four contracted deals for the week, two of which came from Separation Creek and the balance from Lorne.

The standout was the two-bedroom apartment known as “Villa Ischia” at 66-68 Mountjoy Parade, Lorne. The residence had been on the market for an extended period of time and with a number of new marketing initiatives and a price re-alignment an outcome was achieved. Completing the tone of the week an “off market” transaction at just under $1.7 million, will have a condition fulfilled (hopefully) within days and then all will be revealed.

An interesting period now lies ahead as stock levels have reached “ten-year lows” and demand has been stronger than supply. With only fifteen houses listed with our agency, the pressure is on us to list more stock for the peak periods that lay ahead.
