Prices continue to soar

As house prices in Melbourne continue to soar (up 15% in the year to November) one of the key reasons is said to be immigration. Victoria’s population grew by 2.14% for the year, and it is estimated it is growing at about 2000 a week.

While putting obvious pressures on city and regional areas, this will inevitably flow through to coastal areas. There is however one difference in our area. There is no further room for expansion. What this means is that more people will want to come to our areas which cannot grow geographically and this will put pressure on prices which should result in continues strong capital growth for land owners.

Many listings were added to our website this week in all our selling areas and a wide range of prices are offered.

Please be mindful that on frequent occasions we are selling property that is not being openly marketed. A prominent house in Lorne is currently under offer due to be contracted tomorrow. If you are serious about purchasing a coastal home I strongly urge you to be speaking with a sales agent of choice and clearly describing the type of property you desire. We can best service your enquiries to help you achieve your end goal (buying a holiday house) sooner.
